ERSAI was founded in 2003 as a joint venture between ERC Holdings and Saipem. Its first task was to turn a stretch of empty coastline near Kuryk into a construction yard for Kazakhstan’s offshore oil and gas projects.
Since then the yard has fabricated and shipped modules, pipe racks and piles for Kashagan and Tengiz, built drilling rigs and barges, and assembled its own Caspian fleet. Today the same site is becoming an industrial and logistics gateway on the Middle Corridor.
